Marble was bought in Rapallo at the time Henghes was living and working there.
Porto Venere Stone in which sculpture is carved (known as Port d'oro) was given to Henghes by Mrs. Townley
Near black stone from Revanto-Bracco
Black Green stone. olive green in spots. faint blue throughout. Block came from dry part of river bed of the Entella. Weighed about 50kg. Carried by car with the assistance of Ranieri di San Faustino.
